I am traveling and my MP240 is back in Texas.   I will be camera hunting in Hong Kong in a few weeks and cannot remember is the 50f2.8 Elmar (last. version) can be collapsed on the MP240.  It works fine on the M2 but not the M5.  Thanks!

It can, but mount it only in the extended position as always.

There is also enough space when the lens is pushed together. The lens tube protrudes 19,2 mm from the support surface. In the M240 there is 22.5mm space up to the two sheets in front of the slats.

P.s.the older Elmars f3,5 fits also. The tube backside (collapsed) is appr. 22mm long.
