ktmrider2 Posted January 27, 2020 Share #1 Posted January 27, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am traveling and my MP240 is back in Texas. I will be camera hunting in Hong Kong in a few weeks and cannot remember is the 50f2.8 Elmar (last. version) can be collapsed on the MP240. It works fine on the M2 but not the M5. Thanks! It can, but mount it only in the extended position as always.
Reini Posted January 27, 2020 Share #3 Posted January 27, 2020 (edited) There is also enough space when the lens is pushed together. The lens tube protrudes 19,2 mm from the support surface. In the M240 there is 22.5mm space up to the two sheets in front of the slats. P.s.the older Elmars f3,5 fits also. The tube backside (collapsed) is appr. 22mm long. Reini Posted January 27, 2020 Share #4 Posted January 27, 2020 My tipp is: Take a piece of cardboard, put it in the camera (up to the metal sheets), mark it and compare the length with the rear side of the tube from the lens.

lct Posted January 27, 2020 Share #7 Posted January 27, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) The lens can be collapsed on the M240 but better keeping it extended when mounting it and removing it from the camera. Beware that the bottom of the barrel (tube) is very close to the roller cam:
