M10M + Elmar-m 24, heavily cropped

This lens is amazing, extremely sharp and flare resistant. Associated with the M10M High-Res sensor, you can crop without any hesitation :)

This has a spiritual quality -- like the fog with just the peaks rising above -- I think there are 6 or 7 mountain ridges in your composition. Did you use a filter or is this all in post? CHIPS

Within two or three weeks the ice covering this lagoon will be thick enough to support dozens of skaters.

Thanks Chips. No, no filter. This pic was completely unexpected. I was with my 2 little kids trying to escape the fog and we drove 15min from home in the heights one Sunday Morning. We came out of the fog, I reached out for the camera and I shot this :)

Saw this couple on the bike path this morning. As they went past me I said, "I've never seen one like that." One of the women yelled back, "It's Dutch."

Fort Point, a Civil War-era, brick masonry fort at the southern anchorage of the Golden Gate Bridge, is a great monochrom subject. The arched casemates like this one, which are open to the parade ground in the middle of the fort, create an interplay of highlights and shadows that works even better in monochrome than in color. 50mm Summilux.

Fort Point is the perfect venue for monochrome (Alfred Hitchcock used it in B&W Movies) -- the casement perspectives are interesting and the shadows provide drama. Thanks!!
