I am in Western Australia separated from other affected states by thousands of miles and a locked down border. We do have covid cases in "isolation" such as people returning from overseas. Zero community spread here in Perth and no need for masks or lockdowns.

You're lucky indeed. I hope it stays that way there. By the way, do you have guest quarters?

This just caught my eye while out walking. It's a plumbing supply store window with reflections of houses across the street.

50mm Summilux asph.

night scene

M10M APO-50 mm   400ASA   5.6   8 sec (tripod, obviously)

There was a beautiful crescent, but I do not know how to capture it

perhaps one of those things that the human eye can see but that our cameras can't restitute

The moon has the same luminance as daylight, if that helps in future calculations.  Set the camera on manual and pick an exposure that would correspond to the Sunny 16 rule and then see if the remarkable sensor of the M10 can pull up the shadows.

I was photographing this log in a pond in fog this morning when God, or my mother (one of them), decided that the composition could be improved by adding a small skein of geese approaching for a landing. A50A
