Recently acquired a 1986 vintage Canon FD 800/5.6 lens (manual focus) and enjoying using with the Leica SL 601. Close focus is limited thus for smaller birds at close quarters lens is used with extension tubes. Only had one 25mm tube when spotted this Male Reed Bunting basking in late, low, afternoon Sun. The 'not so close focus' necessitated cropping the image. Have since acquired an additional 50mm FD tube (not used yet) and will add more if necessary. Very pleased with the lens which plan to use for larger birds and mammals.
