Godox V1 for Leica (M10 & M6) and Sony A7

Hi,

I'm looking to buy Godox V1 which I would like to use on my Leica M10 + M6 and on a Sony A7 III, both attached to the camera bodies and wireless triggered (using the X-PRO Trigger).

I'm confused on which version of the flash and trigger I should buy to optimize compatibility. Obviously the Sony version of the flash + kit will work great on my Sony. But can I use them on my Leica's too? It would be fine to manually control them on the Leica's. (so no TTL or another flash metering system)

Thanks!

Jan

Hello Jan,

This is exactly my question too - albeit i shoot a m240 and an A7riii.  Have you had any luck finding a solution?    There seems to be an XT-16 trigger that might work based on my research but not sure.

I use the Godox (Flashpoint) system routinely - in the V1, 200 and 600 configurations with my m6, m8 and m10's. Works flawlessly with the NIkon version. It is a hot shoe contact issue so you must verify that a non-Nikon will not short circuit the Leica system. Others may know about the compatibility of the contacts - but the Nikon versions are proven to do fine.  This image made with M10, AD200 ( Flashpoint version ) as hair light, Xplor 600 pro as Key, and A1 as fill. Hope that is helpful. And...obviously, only used in full manual mode. TTL is non functional. With the shoe mounted trigger - super easy to adjust the flash output for each unit.
