oka Posted January 9, 2020 Share #1 Posted January 9, 2020 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I was Canon shooter for almost 10 years but when I got kids running around, I started to look some alternatives. My first idea was to have a additional kit with the Canon set I had. Things didn't go as planned when I got the M10 with Lux21, 28 and APO50. The size and photos had special feel and soul on them which I couldn't get from the Canon gear so I made a leap to unknown - to switch solely to Leica. Frankly, It wasn't easy and it took more than two years to make the switch. RF focusing was the first challenge, it took about 6 months until I was comfortable to use it on the weddings. From the start I had variable difficulties with the bodies and lenses (mainly sensor and calibration problems which were solved promptly). Finally I was not even able to edit the photos with the same workflow and presets I had made as the photos looked to different and not all bodies were even supported (M10P on C1) so I had to create presets from the scratch and creating the own camera profiles. ...and things didn't go anywhere near I initially thought. My first plan was to use solely M bodies and APO50 as the primary lens but it quickly came apparent that the feel of the photos were not for my taste (for the weddings, I love the lens for the other type of photography). Then I got the Noct50 but using Noct50 with M on weddings felt too cumbersome so I tried SL which worked perfectly so in the end I use SL and M's which I feel is great combination. Photos below are mainly shot with Noct50 and Lux28.https://okamorikawa.com/emmi-jonas/ Edited January 9, 2020 by oka 2
