mujk Posted January 16, 2020 Share #21 Posted January 16, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I actually involuntarily tested the protective effect of the Leica screen protector when my M10 was quite new. The screen got hit by a metal object that made a deep scratch/dent in the protector, which had to be replaced, but the screen was completely undamaged. The material of the protector is apparently quite tough.

And in addition to that, just a few months earlier when I had owned the M10 for only one day, I managed to drop it on concrete. Fell on the strap and hit the lens shade of the cron 35 asph. Only the lens shade got any significant scratches. So I had a really unlucky start with my M10, or actually very lucky to have minimal damage. Nothing like this ever happened with any of the other cameras I have owned during the years. Maybe I got one of those top-secret, indestructible M10 variants intended for some very different customer by mistake 🙂?

Tip: Used the neck strap. 😉
