Guest Posted December 11, 2019 Share #1 Posted December 11, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have an m type 262 and mostly use my wonderful 35mm f2.4 summarit. But i want to buy a canon 50mm f1.4 or 1.8 LTM lens because i believe i can replicate the style of pics i used to take with my old minolta rokkor 58mm f1.4 lens. Anyway which adaptor do i need? not interested in exif or 6 bit etc but want it to meter correctly and focus. Obviously any info on the canon lenses would also be welcome. Pyrogallol Posted December 11, 2019 Share #3 Posted December 11, 2019 Any of the Leica screw to M adaptors for 50mm lenses would do, genuine Leitz or other brands, if you are not bothered about lens coding pips.
luigi bertolotti Posted December 11, 2019 Share #4 Posted December 11, 2019 (edited) I see that the Canon 1,4 in LTM can have (maybe not Always) a focus knob "Elmar-style" Welcome, dear visitor! But it looks elevated well over the flange, so it doesn't need the adapters with the cutout : being a 1,4 (narrow DOF) better to go for a high quality adapter (even the chinese can be, but I had some not so good experience) : old Leitz original, or modern Voigtlander.
