Bobby Posted December 9, 2019 Share #1 Â Posted December 9, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am considering getting a digital M body. I was wondering how long is the battery life (assuming no wifi and no evf)? I'm tempted by the 10-D but I presume the 240 battery life is much better. jakontil Posted December 9, 2019 Share #2  Posted December 9, 2019 The m240 still posses the better battery despite not using evf and wifi  drowns much quicker with either one feature activated
AndreasG Posted December 10, 2019 Share #3 Â Posted December 10, 2019 The battery capacity of the 240 is 1800mAh, the M10-D's 1100mAh. In any case you should keep a spare battery, regardless of 240 or M10-D. As mentioned above, WiFi and EVF draw a lot of electricity.
Guest Posted December 10, 2019 Share #4  Posted December 10, 2019 If you don't use the Wifi or the EVF, ( with the M10-D the GPS function is automatically turned on when you mount the Visoflex 020 and there's no way to disable and turn off the GPS which is really stupid ), and set the "sleep mode" to 2 minutes you should be good to go for most of a day of shooting, it works for me anyway but sure, carry a spare battery anyway....why wouldn't you? Once I turn the camera on I don't turn it off until the day's use is done, and I have found in one test when I left the camera turned on for a couple of days or so and in "sleep mode" the battery loss was minimal. I actually tape over the rear off/on/wifi switch so as to prevent me accidentally turning it too far to the wifi position, something I did too many times before resorting to the camera tape solution.
