tom24 Posted November 22, 2019 Share #1 Posted November 22, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello to all! What do you think are the best monitor calibration settings for photo editing and printing? What do you use? Can it be generalized and use one setting (5,800 K and 100 cd / m2) for all? I am particularly interested in the color temperature - what to choose and what depends on it? I have an Eizo monitor. I currently have it calibrated at 5.800K and 100 cd / m2, black point minimum. What is your experience? Thanks and regards.

elmars Posted November 22, 2019 Share #2 Posted November 22, 2019 Usually 6500 K is recommended, because 6500 K is the norm-light in print business. But in real life at home You don´t have this light. So 6500 K is far too cold in my opinion, especially if You print. My setting is 5500 K. 5800 K is ok too, it is a matter of taste. The brightness of the Monitor depends on the brightness of the room an the brightness of the light, in which You evaluate Your print. 80 to 100 cd is ok. Exodies Posted November 22, 2019 Share #3 Posted November 22, 2019 If the print is ok and the screen looks like the print then you are configured satisfactorily.
