I read somewhere about setting the camera to UTC time and then not changing it. That would for sure work in Europe. You might be off an hour, but your photos would all be in order.

would absolutely make sense. Especially if you want to sync with gps tracks recorded in utc too. But then of course you want the Foto app to leave the time stamp untouched...

Exactly.

So, let's add to the feature request list for Fotos a user preference item that enables/disables the app to reset the camera clock.
