Just got a call from Leica Store Bellevue.
They are having the first US launch event on 11-21 but they won't have a demo camera for me to use.

It's OK, because my very own SL2 will be there to pick up at 10:00am that morning.

Unfortunately not all first shipment of SL2 has arrived at Leica Store worldwide.

Pending arrival today/tomorrow.........

If you’re someone who desire top notch  optical performance lenses, you should look into the 16-35. The lens micro-contrast plus the ‘depth’ which the SL2 sensor generates is phenomenal especially for landscape application. The WATE, no doubt a great lens itself is no match. Oh with the SL/SL2, the corner distortion of the 16-35 is self corrected. I’m not sure if that happens on the S1/R as well?

Put my name in the hat back in March. Reached out to my dealer this afternoon, who wouldn't guarantee that tomorrow was the day, but didn't say it wasn't. Just wasnt willing to commit one way or the other. Guess I'll know tomorrow.
