How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

To be honest I asked myself if I could dare making a self-portrait with the new SL2, knowing that I hate to see me on pictures and knowing I did not get my SL75mm yet... So here it is, SL2 and 35mm (LOL) cropped so you don't see my hands while I remote-control the camera with an iPhone. The autofocus is spot on for each picture.

60th sec ISO 100 and 2.8, Sekonic light meter. No color or WB change, just clarity -12 and dehaze -17.

He sure does!

I find that my cats make such great subjects, especially on rainy days when I want to test different lenses , and there's no one else around for me to harass.

Hi all,

 

Here below is a photo taken last Saturday evening, at dusk, with SL2 and APO VE-SL 90-280, at 280 mm.

The picture has been cropped to a 4051x2701 size (from 8368x5584 native), resulting in a 2,07x crop factor. This gives the angle of view of a 580 mm.

Compression is not giving justice to the huge amount of details remaining for the moon and for the plane. But trust me, by cropping further on the plane, you can easily see that it is an Airbus form Easy Jet. Further to the high and impressive resolving power of the lense, it demonstrates how much this sensor can deliver when coupled to high quality glass.

I still dream of a 1,4x APO extender for my 90-280, just to keep more resolution after eventually cropping. But it seems that, when attaching the 90-280 to the SL2, you can benefit of a very good 600 mm angle of view at 11 mp. Don't you think so ?
