@michali do you take advantage of IBIS with this lens? Does it improve hand-handling and how much? Do you turn OIS off when shooting? How’s autofocus with 1.4x and MC-21 ? Thank you.

@meerec IBIS doesn't work with this lens, however the len's OIS does work & it works well (see link to an earlier post below). All of the images I've posted with this lens over the past few days have been hand held, except for the Milky Way image (camera was resting on a bean bag). No issues hand holding this lens.

Auto focus is good, not lightning fast, but perfectly acceptable even with the 1.4x  extender.

AF is in SAF mode only, no CAF.  I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this combination. Even with the 1.4x attached, IQ is outstanding!

Natural roses - background processed, a derivative in symmetry form, and a picture called "King of roses", a derivative too, but with a lot of processing, but still no painting software used. SL 2 and Canon Macro 180 mm plus extender 1, 4. Exifs are still in, even in the derivatives.

+1. Outstanding indeed. One of the sharpest lenses I have ever used. And the in-lens image stabilisation is outstanding as well.

Pair of Lesser Striped Swallows (Hirundo abyssinica) in perfect early morning light.

To Helge's point about the sharpness & the IQ of this lens: no post processing on this image, just DNG converted straight to Jpeg & reduced for posting. Please click on image for better res.

The dream of living in the green in a city. SL2 and Panasonic 16-35. A very good lens but for architecture the Canon TS-E 17mm  I had long time ago was awesome - even on the SL .
