Images with Sigma L mount cameras

There are two image threads that include Panasonic/Sigma in the title, but both only contain Panasonic images. I think we need a separate fp thread.

My first few images were taken for evaluation, not aesthetic purposes. Firstly for colour

With the Apo-Summicron-M 50, at f/2, in the local supermarket (under supermarket lights). Auto WB.

Summicron-SL 90.

Oranges are not rendered accurately. The colours here should be more orange. I may have to create a dedicated profile till Adobe sorts one out.

Purer reds aren't too bad, but perhaps a bit pink.

Yellows and greens look good. Greens may be better than Leica's (and others') typical acid greens

This blue looks good, but it's not a subtle test. The subdued colours in the twigs and leaves are OK (perhaps a bit pink).

And a check on high contrast edges in fine detail. Summicron-SL 90. Not best shown at forum resolution, but I see no problems here.

A couple of other comments.

- All the shots above were taken in A-mode, centre weighted exposure, and no exposure compensation, with AWB.

- Sadly Exif data for M lenses are not recorded, and vignetting/distortion/fringing corrections are therefore not made. Setting the lens in Adobe Lightroom (CC or Classic) seems to make no difference. One can make manual corrections in Lightroom Classic, but not in the CC version. Has anyone got experience of adding lens identification to the DNG file (preferably in batch mode) so that the corrections are automatically applied in Lightroom?

I was impressed by this shot: I waited till she walked (fast) across my view then pressed the shutter as she stepped into the brickwork: I got a near instantaneous response. It has never been quite this good with the CL or SL. Apo-Summicron-M 50, so manual focus and A-mode.

Can you put a neutral grey card, WhiBal or that sort of thing, in  your test pictures?  (I picture you with a tripod installed in your Sainsbury cart, rolling down the aisles with the grey card held in one hand -- that'll do it!)

Sorry - missed your post - I'll do this in future

One photo from London today: as shot (exposed for the sky) and after hitting the Auto button in Lightroom.
So no problem lifting shadows at ISO 100.

And a couple of crops from the bottom LH corner of the second, 'auto' image above: first with no noise reduction or sharpening, then with a bit of colour and luminance noise reduction, and a bit of sharpening.

And a couple of shots in bright autumn morning sun, including a Colorchecker Passport for those who want to evaluate the colour response.

And a last fp shot. After this I'll be concentrating on video with the fp for a while.

A few portraits at the office today... Sigma FP + Macro-elmarit-R 60 at f2.8. Color mode set to neutral, which is a little low in saturation, but I like it. Shot as fine quality jpegs.

A couple of crops at full resolution of the jpeg fine file. Noise at ISO 1600 - 6400 is quite restrained
