“Shaston” as Hardy called it, “Hovis country” if you watched ads in Britain in the 70’s (Leica Q2)

Simply wonderful.  Makes me feel I were there.  One of these days I would love to travel to England, and surroundings, but I fear my wife would never travel out of the country (USA) except to Canada.  So I will live vicariously.  Thanks again

Thank you! I'm biased but I think England is easy to get on with and hope you can persuade your wife to travel there one day. Coming up after Thanksgiving will be more shots of England that I hope you enjoy.

Lovely composition of a beautiful village.  I think this is the best of a great series with the Q2.  Shows you don’t need need a bagful of lenses to take wonderful photos.

You obviously enjoyed your visit to the UK 🙂

Thank you! It's very photogenic from "Green and Pleasant Lands" to "Dark Satanic Mills" and the Q2 makes it easy. The only thing I missed was being able to go wider. There were locations, like the interior of York Minster where my 11-23 on the CL would have been the better choice, but as we know you adapt to get the best out of what you have with you.

When I was a lit major back in college, I memorized the first few stanzas of "Lines Composed a Few Miles Above Tintern Abbey," by Wordsworth. Loved that poem. I see here part of the evocative landscape he wrote about. Thank you.
