How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

I have to admit that I rarely see an HDR image that I like - too overprocessed.  However, this one is very nice.  I think my prejudice stems from 40 years of film shooting and HDR just does not match with what I think is possible or have grown accustomed to.

Found these mushrooms in the Redwoods in Northern California in the campground.  Wish I had taken a few more as the focus was not exactly where I wanted it to be, but I love the lighting.

Many thanks for the comments, I have to admit I have been around long enough to understand the film shooting and being careful loading the film to get the extra shot at the end of a roll. Nowadays with digital it's just a case of making sure you have sufficient space on the card or at least a spare.

Having said that I do enjoy the challenge of processing an HDR image and still trying to get the balance right.

After foolishly thinking I didn't need the Q2 anymore I sold it earlier this year. A big mistake. Just bought another one and did a quick stroll today. It really does create special image files.
