Great shot, love it! Quick question that I have posted here on the forum before but got no real answer...: I see that you are getting the same spots around the sun as I am when shooting against it. In color they look greenish/aqua and you can reduce them a bit in LR but not completely. I was wondering if you know what they are, how to get rid of them completely or avoid having them in the first place. Thanks!

Hi @acg69,

There are probably a ton of people that will have way more knowledge and explanations available but I am a simple man that can't be bothered with the technicality if things.

It is lens flare and I know it happens when pointing the lens straight into the sun. It was a conscious decision.
Below some text provided by Dr. Google.

---snip---
Also called
lens glare, or light flare, a lens flare is a non-image forming light that is scattered in the lens system after it hits the front element of a lens. It reflects off the glass surfaces in the lens. Lenses with a large number of elements like zoom lenses are often most susceptible to lens flare.

From wikipedia:

There are two types of flare: visible artifacts and glare across the image. The glare makes the image look "washed out" by reducing contrast and color saturation (adding light to dark image regions, and adding white to saturated regions, reducing their saturation). Visible artifacts, usually in the shape of the aperturemade by the iris diaphragm, are formed when light follows a pathway through the lens that contains one or more reflections from the lens surfaces.

Flare is particularly caused by very bright light sources. Most commonly, this occurs when aiming toward the Sun (when the Sun is in frame or the lens is pointed sunward), and is reduced by using a lens hood or other shade. For good-quality optical systems, and for most images (which do not have a bright light shining into the lens), flare is a secondary effect that is widely distributed across the image and thus not visible, although it does reduce contrast.

You all loving the lens as much as I do?  Viewing the full size images on a big monitor at 100% is such a joy.
