Honest question, is this image a complete failure? I don't think it`s out of focus (AFc), but the dog runs too fast (really fast). Auto-shutter was the mistake 🤷‍♂️

Not in the least. 

There is most certainly a place in the wold of photography for images like this.

My first thought was that it reminded me of an image that Daido Moriyama would make.  He does not use blurred movement much, but he does create high key and high contrast images.  A lot.

Using blur in a longer exposure creates more of an abstract images vs. a documentary image - and abstract imagery is most certainly a legitimate way of creating photographic imagery.

Not every images has to adhere to the f/64 school of thought...
