How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2480 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

Well hi all,

Just splashed out on a D lux 7. This is one of the 1st photos taken today, a view over central Manchester with simple processing in Lightroom. I'll need to spend sme time now getting used to he various menus, but in many ways it's not s different than my M8. Comments welcome as always

There is no point requesting a few Lake District photographs with this camera in the near term :D

Well it was a good afternoon to take a few test shots, I've taken many from this spot, outside my late partner Ann's flat. I had to go to clear any personal family papers etc.

It's not raining in Manchester all the time - just most of the time 😊

Well storm Malik is still blowing around, no chance of a walk in the park to do more tests. This one is a crop of the local skyscrapers from my balcony, lens at full zoom, 100 iso aperture priority, converted in Lightroom.
