pikovsg Posted October 14, 2019 Share #1 Posted October 14, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hood Eye for the EVF. I know it doesn't exist commercially, but has anyone devised a hood eye / glare box for the Q EVF yet? If so, any links/photos would be appreciated. Reason I ask is because I do a lot of mountain landscapes and the glare gets in the way when looking through the EVF on a sunny day.

antigallican Posted October 14, 2019 Share #2 Posted October 14, 2019 Flat cap works. Tweed in Scotland, cotton in the tropics.

pikovsg Posted October 17, 2019 Author Share #5 Posted October 17, 2019 Can you expand please. Curious, but not understanding what you mean. Any links?
Matsaly Posted October 17, 2019 Share #6 Posted October 17, 2019 I think he means folding or contorting a mens hat (headwear) in some manner to shield the EVF from glare. Antigallican please elaborate on your DIY contraption.
antigallican Posted October 18, 2019 Share #7 Posted October 18, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Not folding or contorting, just wearing. A peaked hat is the traditional solution to unwanted light in the viewfinder. Much cheaper than any other solution
