The truck's faded paint adds to the shot.

The black-and-white image shows more of the mourning about that unworthy end of this piano and the little consolation of being touched in its last moments by a young lady. Gelatino Posted October 12, 2019 Share #5 Posted October 12, 2019 I prefer the color version: the blue bin responding to the blue belt of the woman, the bin adding to the idea of end of life for the piano, and the truck color in the same tone of the dress. In the black version remains only the alternate black and white of the piano keys responding to the shoulder bag. My ideal would have been the color version with the woman attitude of the black version, which I like more.
stuny Posted October 13, 2019 Share #6 Posted October 13, 2019 Very nice. I too prefer the B&W
mikozia Posted October 16, 2019 Share #7 Posted October 16, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Both very great capture, but the the BW one looked more 3 dimensional. 1
stray cat Posted October 25, 2019 Share #8 Posted October 25, 2019 The color picture is a nice shot of a girl playing a piano - albeit in rather bizarre circumstances. However in the black and white shot the girl is immersed in thought, and appears almost to be caressing the keyboard. This, to me, is the money shot - and it has far less to do with whether it is in b&w or color than it does with gesture and the meaning that can be read into it. A great photograph.
