Just want to share in the forum

I have been searching for a pocket tripod for years and I think I have found it.

it is just a Manfrotto pcoket tripod + a mini Z-bracket

I can easily do portrait shot as well.  It has all the function as a ball-head but without the size and other tripod limitation

Cheer

Found on the web different items  with weight sup.  to 350/400gr which is excessive for that type of device IMO, and few with quick knob as shown by OP.

I personnally own the Manfrotto pocket tripod and use it as table tripod or ground support, the Z bracket would be useful for portrait setting.

I'm using the RRS TFA-01 Ultra with the BH-25 head. Small, fits in my back pocket, but sturdy. Works great even with heavy lenses. I've tried it with a 70-200mm and it worked fine

#1  The pocket tripod weights less than 80gr and costs less than 20euro (15 at the moment).

# 2   With a ball head , the camera in portrait position the gravity line is veered on the side, not with a L(or Z)-bracket

#3  With the pocket tripod the camera is only 4cm above the ground (in landscape position)

Similar items are available from Amazon UK so presumably for France as well. Have a look.

Now all you guys need is some easy way to carry the kitchen worktop around to rest it on and you're golden.

My kitchen worktop was retained in customs not my pocket tripod. 😜

Just a word of caution. Depending upon the location of the camera's tripod mount, we might find that in portrait (vertical) orientation the camera and table-pod interfere.

That is why I have chosen to use the taller Leitz table-pod head. I do not see a model number on it, except for a D stamp, and it has the automatic 3/8" and 1/4" adapter sockets at each end. (The default sockets are 1/4" to the tripod and 3/8" to the camera however they couple transparently regardless. Quite clever.)
