lawman Posted September 18, 2019 Share #1  Posted September 18, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Has anyone used the Arte di Mano half case with the battery/sd card access door? Does it work well? Is there any downside to not using the Leica bottom plate on the M10 camera body and just going with the case as advertised? Thanks

designdog Posted September 23, 2019 Share #10  Posted September 23, 2019 (edited) I have the "regular" Arte di Mano case, but have recently been using the same case I have for my M9: https://www.photovillage.com/product.php?productid=3271&cat=0&page=5. Why? Neither Arte di Mano case protects high enough to the top of the camera, in my opinion. The battery door case is the worse in this regard. Nearly every Leica I have seen with scratches or brassing has them on this part of the body. While the Black Label case designed for the M10 is better, in terms of height, than the Arte di Mano, I don't like the alternating button snap. The M9 case is rightfully a bit loose on the M10, but this is not issue, since it snaps at the top. Edited September 23, 2019 by designdog

There are several makers for that case. Lim’s is one of them.

Arrived a few days ago, and I am very impressed with it. Perfect fit, extremely well made and works well. For less than half the price of the Arte di Mano, I can't imagine how it could be any better.
TomB_tx Posted October 5, 2019 Share #20 Â Posted October 5, 2019 I also got one of these eBay cases after seeing JD's post, and agree - very well done. I had been using an Artist and Artisan, which is also good, but it's nice to be able to change cards so easily.
