To summarise the meeting: Excellent guide, nice walk, good company, many interesting discussions (photography and non-photography), good weather (except the walk after dinner back to the car) nice beer and food along the way. I'll start off with a group shot:   fltr: "a willing model" (he might show later in the thread here), Maarten, jaapv, Paulus, pegelli, Alberti Hello guest! A great walk through Tilburg, well organized so we could aptly sit down most of the time  😊 So this is a true story, and like it goes, often we to pictures of one another.  Hello guest! My first digital photo of the meeting, Paulus trying to give Jaap directions where he can find us (or trying to figure out where we can find him 😉)

Sony A7ii + M-Summaron 35/2.8

I still need to finish the roll of FP4+ in my M2 and develop/scan it in order to show some of that here as well. I hope a job for next week.

I found this an interesting and poignant memorial that we passed on our walk through Tilburg:

Sony A7ii + M-Elmar 90/4 (M39)

Translated the plaque says:

"May 10 1940
A Bomb
14 casualties

Window to the past
Mirror of the present"

During our walk we saw several houses at "sharp" streetcorners, I usually find them interesting architectural subjects:

Piano's

Café/Casino

Vereeniging Tilburgsche Spaarbank

Thankfully I also had my Polaroid with me.

It's true colours shows how well Jaap's apparel blends in with the bushy background

This certainly describes what we were :)

They even hung out the flag because the good people of Tilburg knew Jaap was coming 😁

I finished the roll of FP4+ and hopefully I'll put it in the soup tonight. Then I can also show some M2 shots here :)

In the meantime a few more digital architectural details:

Hunting for a nice picture but I already have this pleasant one with a nice serene background

@Maarten , I'm curious what came out of your roll!

What do we do at meetings? We take photo's of photographers who take photo's of other photographers :)

An amazing moment, just talk, nobody except me is holding a camera or lens

A few more from my M2 / FP4+ combo

Bus station

No, not a train station, in Tilburg they seem to park their idle railcarriages in the street

A look through the giant zipper tag into the Spoorpark

Hi all,

As many of you probably know, every year on the second weekend in October we have the "One Challenge", mostly somewhere in a city in Europe (which is a great excuse to travel and meet likeminded leica folks). This year was supposed to be in Athens, but the pandemic interfered, so instead it is at everyone's home place. For the participation rules see here :

Charles (Bateleur), Veronique and I will meet up for the occasion in Scheveningen (NL) at the pier at 13h, first for a quick bite, and then for looking for suitable photo opportunities. Should anyone be interested to join us, please let me know.

Best regards,

Christoph
