My first digital photo of the meeting, Paulus trying to give Jaap directions where he can find us (or trying to figure out where we can find him 😉)

I still need to finish the roll of FP4+ in my M2 and develop/scan it in order to show some of that here as well. I hope a job for next week.

I found this an interesting and poignant memorial that we passed on our walk through Tilburg:

Translated the plaque says:

"May 10 1940
A Bomb
14 casualties

Window to the past
Mirror of the present"

During our walk we saw several houses at "sharp" streetcorners, I usually find them interesting architectural subjects:

Thankfully I also had my Polaroid with me.

It's true colours shows how well Jaap's apparel blends in with the bushy background

As always in this type of meetings, there was a lot of trafficking 😉

They even hung out the flag because the good people of Tilburg knew Jaap was coming 😁

I finished the roll of FP4+ and hopefully I'll put it in the soup tonight. Then I can also show some M2 shots here :)

In the meantime a few more digital architectural details:

No, not a train station, in Tilburg they seem to park their idle railcarriages in the street

Hi all,

As many of you probably know, every year on the second weekend in October we have the "One Challenge", mostly somewhere in a city in Europe (which is a great excuse to travel and meet likeminded leica folks). This year was supposed to be in Athens, but the pandemic interfered, so instead it is at everyone's home place. For the participation rules see here :

Charles (Bateleur), Veronique and I will meet up for the occasion in Scheveningen (NL) at the pier at 13h, first for a quick bite, and then for looking for suitable photo opportunities. Should anyone be interested to join us, please let me know.

Best regards,

Christoph

@AlbertiSorry Albert I missed the invitation...
Here is the resulting photo of one of the ladies and everything went wrong:
I got so nervous by you and Jaap standing in the background that I lost my focus and forgot the telephone numbers.
Furthermore the horizon is a bit skewed and there is a light-post standing in the way.

In short: your picture is a lot better!

She does have fun about it, which is most important; as regards to that pole, I didn't see it but that must be because I wear spectacles.

(Lightroom is much easier than Photoshop for cloning away a pole in a picture), now it has become a mirage

And ProRail / NS should hire me in as Inspector, because I see there are two places where they have not painted ("Hemelen" it is called in Holland)
