bags27 Posted November 6, 2019 Share #1341 Posted November 6, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Replaying Snapchick's love letter to the original SL. At 13:20 she says that the SL is meant to last a long time, owners don't think about the next iteration. Repeat after me: not thinking about the next iteration, not thinking about the next iteration. 😃 1

caissa Posted November 6, 2019 Share #1342 Posted November 6, 2019 And what is now the special surprise and the reason for the delay ?
NigelG Posted November 6, 2019 Share #1343 Posted November 6, 2019 (edited) Noticed GPS “via FOTOS app” ie not onboard. Don’t ever need it myself but there’ll be wailing somewhere (and they’ll know exactly where they are...) Peter Griebel Posted November 6, 2019 Share #1344 Posted November 6, 2019 The weight of the SL 1 without battery is 802 grams. So the SL2 is 33 grams heavier, not that I care that much 🙂

The manual for the SL says approximately 770 gram without battery. If true, with 835 gram SL2 would be heavier by roughly 8 percent. frame-it Posted November 6, 2019 Share #1346 Posted November 6, 2019 so is it actually an S1R + S1H merged into a softer SL body with a new maestro 3 processor ?
Chaemono Posted November 6, 2019 Share #1347 Posted November 6, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) 20 fps is α9 territory and implies no-blackout EVF. They must have mounted that sensor on one heck of a board. vor 3 Minuten schrieb Patrickxyz: The manual for the SL says approximately 770 gram without battery. caissa Posted November 6, 2019 Share #1351 Posted November 6, 2019 Great, the M lenses are officially supported with the SL2. The only question open for me is now, will the MC-21 adapter work with the new SL2 ? Or only with S1/r and fp ?

Dang, half of the most enjoyable rants I've ever heard around here just went off to the grave yard. On the bright side, I'm sure this group is creative enough to move into new, as yet, previously unexplored, but equally entertaining annoyances. 🤣 1

Tailwagger Posted November 6, 2019 Share #1354 Posted November 6, 2019 Well... I could get the ball rolling by claiming that I refuse to buy something that has a pair of staples, one nailed to each side, but I won't cause even though they look really ugly IMO, I have already claimed elsewhere in this thread that looks don't matter so I'm pot committed, so to speak. Guess I'll have to buy one.

Leica has seriously let down customers who do not own cell phones, but still want geo-tagging. 😀 One second thought, maybe I didn't need to use the plural of customer (although "zero customers" is technically correct).
