Sold my M10 for 5k. Deal or no deal

A “deal” would be to buy pre-owned, and then sell the same item, on the pre-owned market, resulting in little or no net loss, or perhaps a net gain. I buy most of my lenses pre-owned, including all of my M-mount lenses. I have sold or traded some lenses, though none of my M-mount lenses, thus far.

I bought my first Leica M camera, an M10, new, in April 2018, and may still be using it in April 2028, or beyond. I was not looking for a deal, but for an enduring tool to capture images obtained through my Summilux-M 50mm ASPH, which I bought at the same time, actually deciding upon the lens before I decided which camera to buy. I would rather realize the full value of my tools, by using them, over time.

The new owner just messaged me as he can't get the diopter off the camera........any ideas?

Advise him to hold the edge of the diopter tightly between his left thumb and forefinger and rotate the camera in an anti-clockwise motion with his right hand.

I’m having hard time to understand if OP / not only in this thread/ is just goofing around or he does it literally.

The OP is know in UK verbiage as a ~ Jack The Lad"" ~~ different cultures might find it hard to understand his phraseology etc..  A good hearted soul, full of bluster and life.. L
