You get blocked by a message saying: ‘Firmware not recognised Please update Firmware’ This means nothing, no FW update will make it work on the CL. To be able to use the MC-21 on the CL you need to put tape over the electronic contacts. Your best bet is to use a dumb adapter, which will give you manual focus. If your lens has an aperture ring you will also have manual aperture control. If there's no aperture ring on the lens it will always operate wide open.
