Could be the Canon, it is a 1950's screw mount lens so it just could have a dreamy look, there is also significant fall off on the edges especially the corners. could be the filter was a little small, but it is a full frame lens on a APSC body so it shouldn't be as bad as it looks. Here is the same filter with the 23 Summicron, much crisper Leica IR ISO 800 f2 1/25 sec.

Picked up a couple of IR filters, a Kodak 87C opaque gel, and the Hoya r72. This is the CL, Canon 25mm with and 87C filter, some lenses just aren't made for this, 10 second exposure f4 no idea what the dark goober isin the upper left, not on any of the other pictures.
