Charlyee Posted August 23, 2019 Share #1 Posted August 23, 2019 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Hello everyone, I have yet another rookie question. The owners manual defines the 3 settings in the title as in the attached photo, so my understanding is Natural falls between Vivid and Standard and that seems to tally with the results I am getting There is a yellow dahlia in the garden that only in the NAT (Natural) option will it capture the true color. The Vivid looks artificial and the Standard looks dull. So my question is setting do most of you use and why? Thank you you so much Welcome, dear visitor! BrianH8er Posted August 24, 2019 Share #3 Posted August 24, 2019 Charlyee. Yes obvious really. I was getting less than happy about mainly foliage shots. So Natural may salvage the camera. Thanks
North / Northwest Posted August 24, 2019 Share #4 Posted August 24, 2019 I use standard but your observation about natural has me interested in doing a little testing.
Graham (G4FUJ) Posted August 25, 2019 Share #5 Posted August 25, 2019 Not sure what mine is set to - an admission that I still need to read the extensive on-line manual!

That’s funny since I hate reading manuals as well and only do so when I am desperate as was the case this time.
Graham (G4FUJ) Posted September 4, 2019 Share #9 Posted September 4, 2019 Finally got around to checking the settings on mine - Natural (set by previous owner). So far I'm happy with the results I've been getting, so will leave it set there (for now anyway ).

Seriously, I like the pop which vivid gives me, but of course it's a highly personal thing.

The water was murky and It was a dull and cloudy day besides. Here is the result on Vivid, must say I quite like it. Thank You. Welcome, dear visitor!
