Nonetheless many of us use the Nitecore charger and I have never read of a problem caused by one. I carry a usb power supply anyways for charging my iPhone and iPad. Getting a usb power supply with at 2 ports worked for me. You are right. I didn't phrase the question right but from your response you understood what i meant. While i have you here i have a question.. With my battery for the q2 and the charger that came with the camera. I have both LEDS Lit up(steady illuminated).. the 80%(amber)LED and the Green charge LED It's been that way for almost a whole day. It's an official Battery from Leica... My question is how long Until it's supposed to be fully charged? Do both LEDS stay illuminated? Thank you.
Advertisement Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Hi Giguchan, Take a look here Want to travel a little lighter with your Q2 kit?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
snooper Posted November 25, 2019 Share #22 Posted November 25, 2019 (edited) Yes. Both led steady = charged 100% Unless you like it this way til Christmas, you can remove the battery and... use it. 😂 Edited November 25, 2019 by snooper

From the SLs User Manual: CHARGE LED (green): Flashing indicates charging in progress. 80% LED (orange): Lighting up indicates this charge level achieved. Both LEDs light up: Charging has been completed. The Q2 is a great travel camera. I just wish the geotagging worked. Roy
Leica Guy Posted November 25, 2019 Share #24 Posted November 25, 2019 I used one for better part of 3 years for the Q and now since May 2019 for the Q2. Never a problem and USB ports are ubiquitous. My wife said that was a good word. 😁
Giguchan Posted November 30, 2019 Share #25 Posted November 30, 2019 Thanks for the information... One battery operates the way it's supposed to and the other doesn't I wanted to make sure that i Was charging the battery Properly. I'll try again. I might have gotten a bum battery. jaapv Posted December 1, 2019 Share #26 Posted December 1, 2019 It could be that the battery electronics need to be reset. Run it down in the camera as far as it will go, recharge and there is a chance it will be fine.
Giguchan Posted December 2, 2019 Share #27 Posted December 2, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) All, I guess either i was being impatient or i forgot how to read a manual(or both). Everything is working as it should now. I just figured that the 80% LED would extinguish when the Battery was completely charged. Thanks for all of the replies. Leica Guy Posted December 2, 2019 Share #28 Posted December 2, 2019 I don’t see it said earlier in this thread, so I’ll add new Li-ion batteries require several cycles to reach their full charge capacity. Use the battery and after a few cycles it’ll probably charge to 100%.
