M10 rough shutter release

Sounds like maybe a piece of grit in there. Try a rocket blower.

How do I do this, do I unscrew anything?

Just blow around the shutter button and see if gets better. I wouldn’t unscrew anything.

Mine is the same and was even the same after coming back from service via Leica NJ. I even find it to be notchy using a soft release. Not the best shutter release feel I have experienced in a Leica body to be sure.

I used hand blower and then added my soft release, and it feels a little better.  I maybe wishful thinking.  The shutter is not as smooth as my M6 TTL, M8, or M240.

i used alcohol on a swab and rubbed it on the edges and my shutter came back to life
