A 100% crop wide open f2.8 shot in RAW no editing other than to chop it up and save to .jpg

Thank you very much!  That shot most certainly answers my question about sharpness!  I just ordered one.  It will be here on Friday.  Examples to follow.

Picked up the Sigma 45 today and have shot a few images with the Leica SL this afternoon.

Initial impressions are that it certainly is a nice lens to use and the images are impressive.

Picture of our wonderful city on a winter afternoon - further images from this lens can be viewed at the following link

My Sigma 45mm F2.8 arrived around noon today.  An attractive lens and so far, an excellent performer.  Here are a some early grab shots with the CL, (I drove my wife a bit crazy), and also a 2:1 screen shot out of Lightroom.  All from DNG files with only light processing in Lightroom.  Plenty of sharpness seen so far. 'Hope these early shots help folks out.  Good luck.

I tried some street photos with this lens. All files are in raw format, converted to jpg with minor adjustments.

This lens can be used as a portrait lens. The effect is almost like a 55 mm prime lens.

A "lower" light image with the CL and Sigma 45mm f2.8.  ISO2000, from a DNG file processed in Lightroom "Classic".

Great as a portrait lens  and very happy with it's inside performance in low light.

I'm wondering whether I really need the Leica Summicron SL 35 APO which I have been waiting for for so long.

Leica SL & Sigma 45

Great in low light despite it's a f2.8 and can be used relatively closer than some of my other lenses .

I got my lens today. I am a little disappointed. I bought this lens mainly for the upcoming Sigma fp. I thought I could use the lens on my TL2 until the Sigma fp will be available. On my TL2, the aperture ring and the AF/MF switch does not work. And I also think in near distance the lens is on my TL2 not sharp.
