Advertisement Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Hi rsolomon, Take a look here Wolverine ESP - supports dmr ?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
bono0272 Posted August 1, 2007 Share #2 Posted August 1, 2007 I never heard about Wolverine. But I bought a Vosonic V8360 for my Tibet trip, which takes and replays DMR RAW files. Here is the web site: Vosonic It is a Taiwan product, when I bought it 2 months ago, it cost about EURO 240 including a 160GB HDD. As I mentioned in other thread, when you replaying the DNG files in this Vosonic device it appears really like a negative film, ie. red becomes green, etc. But I have everything back to normal after transferring the file to the PC and nothing goes wrong with my +10GB photos from Tibet. I am happy with that, and the new DMR V1.3 firmware. Long life the Leica R series!
stuny Posted August 1, 2007 Share #3 Posted August 1, 2007 Richard - I bought a lesser Wolverine to capture the files from my DMR and Panasonic version of the C-Lux-1 just before our trip to Papua New Guinea last October . At that time no portable would display DMR images, though many would hold and transfer them. The helpful folks at B&H (in the last 18 months their service quality has gone from curt to excellent) suggested the Wolverine to me over the Epsom because of B&H's very low incidence of complaints. Wolverine was much less expensive than its competing Epsom. The unit functioned exactly as I had hoped. Give B&H a call. Perhaps they can advise whether you can view the DMR files on the ESP.
