carstenw Posted July 30, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 30, 2007 I recall having seen some thread on both of these. Try using the search menu near the top; it works quite well.
martinb Posted July 30, 2007 Share #3 Posted July 30, 2007 Seems to be a really nice lens and a lens I'm also very interested in. On center it's as sharp as the Summilux ASPH, but the lux is a bit sharper in the corners. It's a very big lens so it'll block a lot of the finder, but if you use it without lens hood I don't think it'll be a huge issue.
cmogi10 Posted July 30, 2007 Share #4 Posted July 30, 2007 It's a huge lens but I like it a lot, considering I spend most of my time shooting in low light it sees a lot of use.
jlancasterd Posted July 30, 2007 Share #5 Posted July 30, 2007 It's a huge lens but I like it a lot, considering I spend most of my time shooting in low light it sees a lot of use. Carl How much of the M8 viewfinder does it obstruct?
gravastar Posted July 30, 2007 Share #6 Posted July 30, 2007 Carl How much of the M8 viewfinder does it obstruct? I would estimate about 1/8 to 1/10 of the 35mm frame area using the petal hood, a little less if you use the screw in hood from the 50mm Nokton. Bob. cmogi10 Posted July 30, 2007 Share #7 Posted July 30, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I would say maybe even more, I'm not so good at estimating these things. That's with the hood on. It's a big lens, you can't get around it but it's not hard to adapt too. (In my opinion)
