stuny Posted July 30, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 30, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) More foreign visitors come to new York than any other place in the US. Once here, the most popular place to visit is the Metropolitan Museum of Art. We’ve been members for 21 years and are there at least once every 8 weeks. We’ve still not seen their entire collection. In this image we see a temporary passageway on the main floor, looking south. I’ve added quite a few more Met photos to the 8th NYC photo gallery on our site, and more on the 4th & 6th New York photo gallery pages of our site. samwells Posted July 30, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 30, 2007 Stuart - Nice composition and perspective, lovely muted colors...and I see it as being rahter funny (almost as if a museum guide was showing the way to the beheadings)...but that's presumably not what the original sculptor intended :-) cheers: Sam
martinop Posted July 30, 2007 Share #3 Posted July 30, 2007 Like the framing / DOF, and use of lighting in the middle of the corridor to capture the main subject.
stuny Posted July 30, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted July 30, 2007 Sam - Thank you, and you make me think of the Monty Python routine in which there is an architecural competition for a new building, and Cleese describeswhere the pedestrian passageway leads directly into the rotating blades. Paul - Thank you.
