Battery for Q2

Does anyone know why it is impossible to find batteries for the Q2?  What is the problem?

I have concluded that the time it took to receive my Q2, and the wait and price for a spare battery, are all part of an insidious Hasselblad plot to make their wait times and prices seem reasonable by comparison. 🤣

I mean this is kinda true? It does seem that Leica is in over its head in a number of ways. I'm not rooting against it, in fact I'm more tempted to dig my hole deeper and go in further with an M10P or a CL. But it will be interesting to see where this company is in five years time. If the future is uncertain for the larger companies, I cannot see how it's any more certain for Leica. I am hoping they have an iron clad pact with Panasonic, that's not a bad tech partner to have. They're pretty impressive.

Seems there is a trick to getting one - someone posted a source from NJ - search for it and that may help you if you are in the US.  I was able to get one within a few days - made my vacation with the Q2 way less stressful.

Keep a lookout on Ebay. As incredible as it may seem, the Leica Store in Nurnberg, Germany listed one two weeks ago on Ebay for about $150 new. I just received it and it is as advertised. Took about 9 days to get to NYC, no customs duty due as well. I'm still trying to figure out how they could sell it for $100 less than US dealers.

ditto. But I have 5 for my first version Q because they are Panasonic copies

India Leica website - Q2 - BP-SCL4 is available with ~ 9 in stock - Got mine yesterday. 

Can email them if they deliver international.

The Leica Q has a battery that is the same as in one Panasonic (and some other makes afaik), so there is enough on the market.

The Leica Q2 has the same battery as the SL, and there are no other camera makes alternatives. With the success of the Q2 it is still almost impossible to find Q2 batteries.

Scarcity brings price fluctations usually.

I was able to just purchase one from Glazer's camera in Seattle.  Free Shipping and no tax.

The Think Tank DSLR Battery Holder  is great for 2 Q2 batteries. When 1 is spent I insert it with terminals facing out as a reminder to recharge it.

I have the same battery bag and really like it. So far I only have one extra battery, so the unused pouch just bunches up and overall takes up less space.
