I recently purchase an Artisan and Artist half case for my M10 and I find that the inner leather covering marks the camera covering about 20mm up from the base. The join between the soft base lining and the upper hard leather lining is quite pronounced, as is the stitching. Sadly I will not be using it any more. Especially disappointing as I have always found A & A cases to be excellent in the past.

I also heard lots of good things about A&A in the past. maybe send them an email explaining the situation. maybe they can fix your case or in the worst case they can update the design for a future production run.

I used to be extremely happy with luigi's half cases, had one for the m6, and other cameras and they were perfect. the latest one I bought was fine, but not up to the quality as the old cases have been. it was really tight to fit, it loosened up over some time but compared to the old case there is a difference. however I would still buy from him again as he still making them by hand in italy as far as I know. also he is quite forthcoming if you order a special edition/ special leather and so on.

Yes I agree that Luigi is hard to beat. I have received a couple of his this year and they seem to be up to his old standard. Have ordered one for my M10-D and will see how that turns out. Will email A&A anyway but I thought it would be wise to tag a warning note. Will report back any response I get from them.

I've been using an A&A case on my M10 for well over a year, and I don't find any marks on the M10 body. Inside the case I see the juncture of materials you mention - it just hasn't affected my camera.

I have used Zhou cases on my M9 and several film cameras and was fully satisfied with them, but they didn't offer one fore the M10 - so I went with A&A and have been happy with it.

I can confirm Matlock's experience. I got an M10 A+A halfcase in February and it had inside - see photo - hard seams/burrs, which left some light bruises on the leather covering of the camera body. I smoothed it down simply with a nail file, no big issue.

That is an appropriate means of coping, Andreas. Good for you and thanks for the tip.

I did likewise, however it should not be necessary. I await A&A's response. Never had any problems with their cases in the past, this appears to be a lack of thought.

I can not tell from the picture if there is some rough material other than leather. but if it is just leather, you may be able to smoothen it by repeatedly hitting it with a hammer. (on a soft surface so not to scratch it. I usually do the same procedures for shoes that hurt.

My M10 A&A case seems to be made a bit differently:

That is interesting as that is now three completely different designs for the A&A M10 case. Perhaps they have heeded comments, they still have not responded to my message to them.
