EDIT : The thing which looks like dust on the sensor in the 'central-sky' area to the left of the church is actually a Red Kite!

How nice it is to see a photo in this thread that stands alone as something very well done and not simply a photo with a chair(s) in it. Thank you Philip.

I am not critical of any of the photos in this thread because I too expediently post pictures of chairs with no real photographic value. it's supposed to be fun to find and post chairs and that it is.   But to, once in a while, run across an outstanding photo is even more fun!!!

Chairs, benches and other seating are everyday objects on which people can sit down, rest or possibly have fun. In any case, they can spend a lot of time there. That's why I always find it interesting not only to photograph the chair or bench in question, but also to include it in the context of its surroundings. This sometimes results in a philosophical interpretation of how people think, how other people sit down to rest on these very chairs. The photo of @pippy reflects this impressively.

Yes indeed, like your last photo or Philips', the context elevates the photo. Sometimes though the chair, bench, etc. by itself can be seen as an interesting object, historical piece or a classic by a particular designer. As an example #3342 above, a single chair, a good photograph on its own.
