Advertisement Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 Hi dseelig, Take a look here 50 nokton vs 50 summilux late preaasherical. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
sdai Posted July 29, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 29, 2007 I've never tried the 50 nokton but everything I've read says it's extremely prone to flare ... perhaps it's just hearsay.
artur5 Posted July 29, 2007 Share #3 Posted July 29, 2007 I have the Nokton 50, not the Lux. Anyway, I did a fast test comparing the CV 50/1.5 with the ZM 35/2, both full open with and without a UV filter. The lamp was aimed almost directly. Camera Epson RD1. No postprocess, converted from Raw to jpg in Pshop CS3. Clearly, the CV shows more flare that the ZM35, but, considering the conditions it isn't that bad..Of course the filter adds more flare and reflections. sean_reid Posted July 29, 2007 Share #4 Posted July 29, 2007 I've never tried the 50 nokton but everything I've read says it's extremely prone to flare ... perhaps it's just hearsay. It is not especially prone to flare. You may have missed some reading. <G> Cheers, Sean
lct Posted July 29, 2007 Share #5 Posted July 29, 2007 Haven't got especially (nor generally) any significant flare with the Summilux so far. Without filter of course.
