graeme_clarke Posted July 28, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 28, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Yesterday I took about 80 RAW images on a cheap 2GB Sd card I've used several times before without a problem (Last resort!). The camera locked up and gave a "Format SD card - Yes or No " message on the screen. Part way through using it I had used the play command to look at some of the images, so I know there are files on the card. I inserted the card into a card reader attached to a PC and tried to look at the files in Explorer - got the same message " Format the card Yes or No" in a dialogue box. I tried to open the files in Lightroom and Photopshop - got the same message each time. I have not formatted the card. My file recovery software doesn't recognise DNG files, but tells me the card is OK. I also note that having just put Firmare v1.3 onto the DMR, all previously formatted cards have to be reformatted, so its impossible to use the camera to view any files on the card shot under V1.1. My question is, does anyone know of any file recovery software that recognises and recovers DNG files out of a DMR? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance. topoxforddoc Posted July 28, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 28, 2007 I've used mediaRECOVER software to recover images from my SD card (transcend) used on my DMR (v1.1) a few months ago. I didn't get all the images back, but I did get some. Good Luck Charlie

Graeme I have several of the minidisks containing RescuePRO data recovery software that are supplied with SanDisk Extreme III cards. If you can PM me your postal address I'll send you one. The software version is 3.2, which I think is the latest (late 2006).
