setuporg Posted June 12, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 12, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) I mostly shoot with the M (M10/60/246/M-P), but just got a Q2 to travel light this summer Europe-hopping with my son. I'm still undecided actually it will suffice, especially after just receiving the Viewfinder magazine from LHSA in the mail with the @derleicaman 's excellent writeup on the WATE and another article about shooting the Norway fjords with the 50mm -- exactly the location I plan to visit on the tour. Started that thread in the Q2 forum, please comment with opinions/experiences! One thing is clear for sure: I'm glad I did get the Q2 since AF is very useful with kids. I used Fuji XF system and Pentax K1 before switching to M10 in 2017 as soon as it came out. Since a rangefinder was my first camera as a kid I went back to manual focus and enjoyed it exclusively, but the Q2 with its full automation and one-handed operation and movie mode is actually helpful with kids and also traveling with a gelato or a coffee in the left hand.

jdlaing Posted June 12, 2019 Share #2 Posted June 12, 2019 Just as long as you don’t spill the gelato on the camera.
