hlockwood Posted July 28, 2007 Share #1 Posted July 28, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have an M7 with the 0.85 VF. I'd like to add the 1.25 manifier for accurate focusing when using a 90mm lens. Since I don't know the interrnal optics, I'm concerned about retaining a full view of the LED readout. Please advise. Advertisement Posted July 28, 2007 Posted July 28, 2007 Hi hlockwood, Take a look here VF magnifier on an M7. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Photoskeptic Posted July 28, 2007 Share #2 Posted July 28, 2007 Don't know about the M7, but I had one on my M6TTL .85 and it worked great! The LED readout is not affected as it is not in the frame.
sdai Posted July 29, 2007 Share #3 Posted July 29, 2007 Harry, I'm using exactly the same setup as you've mentioned ... and there's no problem reading the LED reading at all.
J J Kapsberger Posted August 4, 2007 Share #4 Posted August 4, 2007 I too have a 1.25X magnifier, the one from HKSupplies (USD 55 on eBay). The eye relief isn't optimal for me. With glasses on--i.e., always--I can see the 90mm brightline indicators without a problem; however, I can see the LED readout only by adjusting my gaze into the viewfinder downward. For me, with glasses on, it's either I see the image area in the viewfinder or the LED read out. Perhaps the Leica magnifier gives better eye relief.
