Histon Posted June 28, 2019 Share #201 Posted June 28, 2019 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I use a Black Rapid shoulder strap, in fact oten the double one so carrying two cameras nicely balances the weight out. They are superb products. When wearing the double one (which uses a lightweight harness), if I put a jacket or coat on the camera(s) aren't seen by people I'm hunting (oops I mean snapping). Advertisement Posted June 28, 2019 Posted June 28, 2019 Hi Histon, Take a look here M10 plus Noctilux like having a brick around your neck. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Guest Posted June 28, 2019 Share #202 Posted June 28, 2019 Today I screwed the 90mm Apo onto the M10. Didn’t take a picture all day. It felt comfortable though
Chaemono Posted June 28, 2019 Share #203 Posted June 28, 2019 Screwing the 90 Summicron onto the M is the first step towards getting the APO 50. There are bets going on how long it will take you.
otto.f Posted June 28, 2019 Share #204 Posted June 28, 2019 I've got the APO 90 about the since the day it arrived. Thus far I see no APO 50 sailing to my harbour. From what I've seen here and there and owning the APO Summicron 50 mkii, I find them two birds of a feather

I have had two 0.95 Noctiluxs and they both rendered differently Neil So you think factors like viewer/subject distance have no impact on background rendering? Not surprised, as you apparently don’t appreciate print viewing distance as it relates to perceived image quality either (separate thread). I won’t even get into lighting influences. Sam Posted July 2, 2019 Share #206 Posted July 2, 2019 (edited) I have an M10-P on order and have used my Noctilux 0.95 extensively on my M240, and it's quite heavy of course. I was wondering if the smaller size of the M10 wouldn't make it even more awkward since it's smaller size might not distribute the weight as well. Comments? Comments? 1/2 ounce lighter for the M10 is not likely to make a difference. Edited July 2, 2019 by pico

Plenty of Boka... the rig fits in the pocket of a bush jacket and I love the results. The 50 Elmar-M is a stunning little lens. I got one as a lightweight lens to go alongside the APO 50 and Noctilux but I ended up using 90% of the time. Light, compact and renders so well on the digital Leicas. Chaemono Posted July 6, 2019 Share #214 Posted July 6, 2019 DOF and OOF rendering should work for you, Neil. Bokeh of the APO is not as swirly as with the Noctilux and it doesn’t have the field curvature that makes some Noctilux shots look special. But the APO packs a lot of bang for its size and weight. But that would be like driving a red porsche and buying a mini because it's smaller. I have got and love my Noctilux, I don't need something inferior just because its smaller. Like I mentioned the above APO samples are all Wow and very nice but IMOO not Noctilux nice. Neil
