4,5K, considering a unused open box, it seem to me a good price.

Battery is fine?

Good thing with M-D is peace of mind concerning battery's life with one need charging every couple of weeks.

For digital, 👍 thumb up for Leica including the % of battery left when we put the M-D on.

@Stranger have fun with your "NOS" M-D.

NOS = Never Old Style

Just bought in a shop in Milan, where it was left unsold on a shelf (thanks to Leica LCD fans). S/N 4982435, date on the box: 21/04/2016. After 6 years and 1 month, she found a (lucky!) owner. i recommend: keep your MD 262 tight, I think they will be rare and expensive.

I saw this one and did consider it for a while. The shop has sometimes great offers, I bought my mm there.

Instead of the 262 I went for a demo m10 (other shop though). Enjoy your camera!

Hi All,

Acquired my M-D a couple of weeks ago.  I adopted her from Alpharetta, GA.  She now lives in San Francisco, CA.  Serial no. 5150134.  So excited!

Have a great day!

Jose

Thanks for the update, @easy_action. I thought I had an alert set at mpb for the M-D but didn't see this one ... must've gone fast! Someone got a bargain here, hope they enjoy the camera ...

In 2022, I found 10 M-D's for sale worldwide.

Of those I had prior knowledge of 8 and there were two (including this one) that were not on my list of "sightings in the wild" which now stands at 130 units.

Hey everyone,

I just saw your post here, I'm the one who bought the M-D from mpb.com! I was looking for an M-D for so long time and by coincidence (or fate) I saw it the other night on their website and just went for it. It arrived today, what an amazing camera! Correct serial number is #5150482 and she now lives in Germany.

Cheers,

Felix

Thank you @Datsch. Coming from an analogue M the handling of the M-D is very natural and easy indeed. No distracting buttons or screen - just perfect. This is the first digital camera I used that I think has like a soul, like the classic models. So happy with my M-D!

Hi Felix, thanks for correcting me on the serial number and congratulations on the purchase.

I had the camera in my basket throughout the Saturday wondering if I could really justify two of them (mine is 5150136).  But imagining the look on my wife's face as I told her ensured that sanity prevailed.  I checked again on the Sunday morning and by this time you had resolved the dilemma for me (hence the 'problem trying to add item to basket' in my screen shot above).

Enjoy your wonderful new camera - how lucky we are!

Congratulations on your M-D. You'll be happier and happier with it the more you use it. It's a fantastic camera.

I've been looking for this camera for a looooong time, never been able to hunt down one T.T

@JimmyCheng There is one advertised in Italy right now.  £$Euro4000 is a good price these days, so this looks priced to move.

I  do not vouch for any of these being real and not scams!

And here's a beaten up one in Japan:

Of course if you also consider the M10-D or M60 your net widens a little ...

and no less than three M60s right now:

With much hesitation, I have decided to part with the M-D. For its part, it has rekindled my interest in film, for which I’m thankful.

Details here if anyone knows of someone that may have interest.
