Daniel and Pattyfrank’s images immediately above demonstrate this well. While stopped down, the Noctilux is as good as the 50 Summilux ASPH, care is needed when used wide open to compose well and consider the background - it isn’t the subject! 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I had a hell of a time today producing anything that I liked, and rely on post production to make images like this pop. This with the SL2 and Noct .95 wide open. The foreground is what I really love about this and how the lens renders the texture of the gravel and daffodils. I think an ND filter would have helped with the blown out areas on the car but I don't have one yet. Welcome, dear visitor!
