Is the Leica Drifter the last sign that a new Monochrom M10 is arriving?

If the the first two iterations of the Monochrom are any indication, the hoped-for third generation of that camera will most assuredly be based upon the (modified) sensor in the M10.

Bear in mind that one of Leica's objectives with the Monochrom is to maximize return on investment from its parent camera design.  Meaning they want to do as little development and testing as possible.  Going to a different sensor from the M10 would introduce significant additional engineering... and the cost for that would likely diminish margins to the point where the effort wouldn't be worth considering.
