Advertisement Posted May 23, 2019 Posted May 23, 2019 Hi Tarpontime, Take a look here Processing CL images. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
AlanJW Posted May 23, 2019 Share #2 Posted May 23, 2019 Card readers. Either built in or connected -- generally via USB.
JayBird Posted May 23, 2019 Share #3 Posted May 23, 2019 I have not tried Wifi. I find the card readers work best for me. Does your laptop have an internal SD card reader?

ramarren Posted May 24, 2019 Share #5 Posted May 24, 2019 I use the card reader built into my Mac mini, the Lightning to SD Card Adapter for my iPhone, or the USB-C to SD Card Adapter for my iPad Pro 11". Occasionally I'll use Leica FOTOs to move exposures to the iPhone or iPad and then transfer them via AirDrop to the Mac. But the card reader is both more reliable and FAR faster. meerec Posted May 24, 2019 Share #6 Posted May 24, 2019 I do both, card reader to my MacBook. Or Fotos app / wifi to my iPad. DNGs most of the time, then processed in Lightroom on either. Sometimes OOC B&W jpegs to iPad to post immediately.
justbananas Posted May 24, 2019 Share #7 Posted May 24, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Wifi is far too slow with RAW files. A fast card and fast card reader is the way to go for those.
ramarren Posted May 24, 2019 Share #8 Posted May 24, 2019 I do DNG files exclusively. Leica FOTOs is horrifically slow with transfers but I usually only do that once in a bit. AirDrop from iPhone to Mac is quite fast (about 40x faster than Leica FOTOs) for raw files. Of course, a USB-C or built in card reader is 100-1000x faster than that so any large movement of files happens that way.
tommonego@gmail.com Posted May 24, 2019 Share #9 Posted May 24, 2019 Always a card reader, my Asus has one built in, otherwise I have a good Kingston I use on my older laptop or with Compact Flash cards my Nikon uses. Tried Fotos to phone to computer, card readers as said before are for faster.
