Ah yes, this is what I imagined, and now have with my 135mm f3.4 Telyt on the M262 body, LOL..

Baiting the hook..

Art Deco boat slips..

After the rain at the spillway.

I set the lens to the minimum focus distance here and drifted in until the rangefinder indicated it was in focus, which it actually was at f4.

Two birds with one exposure..

Bath House and residences across the lake.

Hello Greg,

Nice photos.

Did you ever think about putting this combination on a solid tripod, either regular length or table top, with a large ball head & a cable release?

And then stopping the lens down to around F8 or F11 & sometimes even smaller & seeing what types of photos that you can take?

Doing this is a really liberating experience. A whole new World.

I do this mostly with a small solid table tripod with soft slippers so that I can put the camera & lens down on, or against, something without worrying about scratching. Be sure the engine is off if you are using it on a car. Against a wall or inside or above a door frame is often useful. As is a rock, a tree or even the top of a table.

Best Regards,

Michael

I was pleasantly surprised how the 135mm APO-Telyt can isolate a subject. (M7, Acros 100).

A small collection of photos with the lens on my Flickr site (film & digital).

(Memo to self - stop leaving the APO on the shelf - it is very much overdue an outing!)

The Artisan and Artist Smith camera bag makes totting a 4 lens M262 outfit a breeze, and for me the 135mm f3.4 is one of the “must haves” that includes the 21mm f3.4 Super Elmar and 35/75 combo that some days is the two Summicrons and some days the two f2.4 Summarits.

Neat pre-dawn composition, with the 135mm APO Telyt at f3.4 on the M262..

and late afternoon/early evening building storm cloud-top. Same setup as the above image.

Same Boats and Dam in these two images, just different angle, with the M262 and 135mm f3.4 APO Telyt-M.
